Rug Cleaning
Rug washing is done at our warehouse in Asheville by
our professionally trained staff. We recommend that you have
your carpets professionally cleaned every one to three years
depending on the amount of traffic the carpet gets.
For cleaning bring your rug to us or call us to schedule a pickup. The cleaning process starts with a inspection of the carpet to determine if the carpet has stains, previous color run, or other defects. We will measure your carpet and quote a price for the cleaning fee. We currently charge $2.00 a square foot for cleaning.

Rug Washing Process
1. Vacuum the carpet.
2. Spray the carpet down with cold water.
3. We use a hand held machine with a gentle brush that soaks the rug in a mild detergent while gently loosening the dirt and dust.
4. Spray the carpet down with cold water.
5. Flip the carpet over and repeat the process.
6. We use an extractor to remove soap residue and suck all of the water out of the carpet.
7. Lay the carpet out flat to dry on our drying racks.
8. Once the carpet is dry we carefully inspect it to make sure stains and odors are gone.

10. Trim and clean the fringe if needed.

Tips on Cleaning and Care for Oriental Carpets
1. Vacuum your carpet at least once a week to remove dirt and
dust. Be sure not to vacuum the fringe.
2. A good quality pad under your carpet helps protect it from dirt and it keeps the carpet from slipping.
3. Rotate your carpet every six months to a year to ensure even wear. Use shades or curtains to reduce the amount of damage caused by sunlight.

raveling fringe, loose fringe, small holes, or repiling of worn
areas can be repaired at our warehouse in Asheville.
We also offer a unique opportunity each year for your cherished rugs to be restored by hand in Turkey without incurring shipping costs. We send a container every year about the end of May to our warehouse in Istanbul, Turkey where the rugs are repaired and will be shipped back to us generally around the beginning of the next year sometime in January.
